After the Cursillo Weekend
The "after" activity of the three day Cursillo weekend is known as the "fourth day". The Cursillo Movement realizes that it will not be an easy task for us to try to bring Christ to our environments. Therefore, the Cursillo Movement has two very important tools to assist each of us. These tools are the the Ultreya and the Group Reunion.
Ultreya
The Ultreya (Spanish word meaning Onward) is the larger Cursillo community. It is the time for the members of the Group Reunions to meet with members of other Group Reunions. The Ultreya is also beneficial in providing the support and encouragement that each of us needs.
Group Reunion
The Group Reunion is a small group of Cursillo friends that meet on a regular basis. The purpose of this meeting is to share with one another the growth that has taken place within each of us. We share our spiritual growth as well as our growth in becoming a person who strives to bring a Christ-like attitude to our environments. This meeting is referred to as a Friendship Group. The Group Reunion provides the continual support we need in order to persevere as a part of God's plan.
School of Leaders Prayer
In keeping with the theme of our School of Leaders we offer you a prayer for daily use
Prov. 29:25...
"To be afraid of man is a snare; he who puts his trust in Yahweh is secure."
Dear Lord, I thank You for this day I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and you keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each new day; clear my mind so that I can hear from you. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe.
I thank you that I believe. I believe that God changes people and God changes situations. I pray for all my sisters and brothers and for each and every member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes. That they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this prayer will know there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than our God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every person that reads this prayer.

On The Lighter Side
After a hardy rainstorm fills all the potholes in the streets and alleys, a young mother watched from her kitchen window as her two little boys played in a puddle.
The older boy of the two, a five year old lad, grabbed his sibling by the back of the head and shoved his face into the water hole.
As the boy recovered and stood laughing and dripping the mother ran into the yard in a panic.
"Why on earth did you so that to your little brother?" she asked as she shook the older boy in anger.
"We were just playing church Mommy," he said.
"And I was just baptizing him…in the mane of the Father, the Son and in…the hole he goes."
Have you heard this one?
An elderly man in Louisiana owned a large farm for several years and it had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice: picnic tables, horseshoe pits and some apple and peach trees.
One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond to look it over. As he had not been there for a while he grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.
As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.
One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"
The old man frowned, "I did not come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked."
Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator."
Some old men can still think fast!!
